Regular Meeting
Town Office Building February 23rd, 2015
40 Old Farms Road 7PM
I. Approval of minutes from the 11/24/14 meeting.
II. General discussion and open forum for anyone present. Joe Colangelo will allot time for
discussion and individual requests to speak.
III. Director’s report.
IV. Old Business:
A. Discuss the review made by each WPRC member of the [4] fields and waterfront.
B. Continue discussion on the RRAC irrigation project. We were awarded the CIP
funding to complete the irrigation system. We need to develop a time line for install.
C. The RRAC LL scoreboard poles need to be marked for excavation in the spring. The
Recreation Director has qualified a cost for the excavation. Discuss our location, and
get it prepped for an early spring install.
D. Review the basketball program for this season to date including travel teams.
Review our process regarding a coach’s pre season meeting, and coaching
expectations. Develop a coach’s guideline for fair play to be signed by each coach at
the pre season meeting.
V. New Business:
A. Review “summer programs” for the upcoming season, facility use and field
conditions. Include discussion of a concert at the RRAC, time of year for the event
and how we can use it for fundraising. We should make this an annual event, at the
same time each year and the same “footprint” to make execution of the event
consistently simple.
B. Discuss finding a new member to replace Josh Walsh.
C. Review our calendar for the upcoming year, and vote to accept it with any
reasonable changes.
D. Discuss the ticket raffle for a Red Sox family pack, which we provided last year.
